MINNASSIST
Can I get help paying my MNsure premium in 2027?
Maybe. In 2027, one person earning up to $63,840 a year, or a family of 4 earning up to $132,000, may get a tax credit that lowers the monthly premium on a MNsure plan. MinnAssist helps you apply and see what you qualify for, for free, by phone. Call MinnAssist at (866) 655-6606.

What to know
- Tax credits are only available through MNsure. They lower what you pay each month for a private plan.
- If your income is lower, you may qualify for MinnesotaCare or Medical Assistance instead, which usually cost less.
- The extra federal tax credits that started in 2021 ended after 2025, so many people now pay more than before. That's why it's worth checking every year.
- MNsure has an estimator tool, and we can go through your numbers with you.
Common questions
