What the rule says

"The reconsideration period is the four-month period after an enrollee's MA is terminated for failure to complete a renewal… During an enrollee's reconsideration period, they may return their renewal paperwork instead of reapplying for health care coverage."

Eligibility must be redetermined when the renewal form, or any proof requested for the renewal, is received on or before the last day of the fourth month after closure. Household members may have different end dates and different windows.

A renewal received in this period is treated as a new application, and the application date is the day it was received. You may be able to get coverage for some past months; ask us (EPM 1.2.5, retroactive eligibility).
