UPDATE ·
2027 MinnesotaCare and tax credit income limits
For 2027, one person can get MinnesotaCare with yearly income up to $31,920, and a family of 4 up to $66,000. That is 200% of the 2026 federal poverty guidelines. MinnesotaCare is for people whose income is too high for Medical Assistance and who don't have affordable insurance through a job.
Medical Assistance has lower limits. For coverage from July 2026 to June 2027, an adult living alone can qualify with income up to about $21,227 a year. Children can qualify at much higher incomes.
If your income is above the MinnesotaCare limit, a tax credit can lower your premium on a MNsure plan.
